From the Archives: God Provides the Way of Escape

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.”
-1 Corinthians 10:13-14

From the April 22, 2024 Word From the Pastor:

Beloved Kinney,

What are you going through right now that is tempting you to sin? There’s much hope in this passage. Listen to the words of Robert Jones from his devotional entitled Anger: Calming Your Heart, “Your struggles are not unique. They are common. You are not alone. The path you now walk has on it the footprints of others.” (pg.17)

The reason why this is an encouraging word is because it gives you hope for what you’re going through. If the Lord has given grace to others who are going through similar troubles, the Lord will give grace to you.

Let us trust the Lord this week. Let us trust him with everything. He is faithful. There is hope.
